Who We Are

418 Communications is a boutique public relations company based in Lexington, Kentucky.

We specialize in developing and executing tailored public relations campaigns for our clients, placing a strong focus on generating meaningful earned media coverage for clients and their initiatives.

We work primarily with small- and mid-sized organizations and have represented clients from California to New York, and everywhere in between.

We Get Results

Since our founding, we've had the honor of working with a wide range of clients across industries and geographies. And, though our clients may have many differences, one thing remains the same: our commitment to generating high quality earned media for each one of them.

Our clients regularly appear in top tier national, regional, and trade publications, including:

Case Studies

When we saw on the news that California wildfires were racing towards the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, we immediately thought of one thing: our client, Artwork Archive.

We quickly began pitching our client, a cloud-based platform designed to help art collectors maintain important documentation and records about their collections, to media in the context of XYZ.

Our quick work resulted in an interview with the "Wealth Matters" columnist at The New York Times - and, ultimately, a column highlighting our client and users of their platform.

Through a partnership with UnitedHealthcare, our Kentucky-based client KPCA brought a mobile mammogram unit to the state, to provide mammograms to women without regular access to the screenings.

We highlighted this initiative to local media, drawing attention to the unit's individual stops, and generated strong regional coverage - including five TV stories, one radio story, and one feature in a popular regional e-newsletter - all in the span of one week.

When professional soccer league USL chose Lexington as the site of a new USL League One soccer team, we were tasked with announcing the news.

We helped to organize a press conference at which the announcement was made that Lexington would be receiving a USL League One team. Prior to the press conference, we orchestrated an exclusive feature with the Lexington Herald-Leader, which ran immediately after the announcement was made in-person.

Our work - which ultimately resulted in more than 80
pieces of media coverage about what is now named Lexington Sporting Club - was credited with contributing to "one of the most successful launches in USL history."

Over a little more than one year, we secured more than 50 pieces of media coverage about Bullard and the company's products. We focused on positioning the company's PPE products as leaders in the various industries the company serves, and our work resulted in coverage in impactful industry trade outlets for the company - as well as in national media including Fast Company and the Associated Press.
